Gearing Up…

Hurricane Irma wasn’t all bad – I salvaged some great fence boards to use for my smaller art. This means plenty of new inventory for the upcoming Atomic Holiday Bazaar in December. Can’t hardly wait…

In Good Company

IMG_0639Replenished my display at Sarasota Architectural Salvage today and I am in good company with my partner Michelle (Altered by Michelle), Kelley B Designs and Kelley Love Designs. Come by and check out the cool art by cool local artists going on at this great shop! 1093 Central Avenue, Sarasota, FL 34236

Atomic Holiday Bazaar 2013

atomicpostcard_(2)It’s almost here!

One of my favorite weekends of the year and I can’t wait! I am counting the days til we get to set up our booth display and take part in this cool event… But until then, I’ll be the one finishing up as many pieces of art as I can!

Featured Art – “Viva La Vida”

This was so much fun to create… It was one of those pieces that sort of made itself. I started with the board (as the canvas) and the leg, which are parts from a salvaged vintage coffin table, and the words “Viva La Vida” – I loved the irony and the juxtaposition of the elements to the words. The other elements just showed up one by one until I had reached a point of feeling like it was a finished piece. I love when the creative process happens like that – it makes me feel very much in the flow of things – like I am exactly where I am supposed to be, doing exactly what I am supposed to be doing…
