This custom ordered piece went to its new home the other day! Adapted from a larger piece I created, this version of “Unpathed Waters” had been requested to give as a birthday gift. The “canvas” used was a vintage wood and galvanized drawer and little elements were added to make the piece more personal. I love creating something knowing who it’s for… The next custom project centers around coastal Maine. I can’t wait to get started!
Made with vintage ephemera (letter dated 1837, French postage stamp and Eiffel Tower postcard) in a salvaged window frame.
“Liberté, Egalité, Fraternité,” French for “Freedom, Equality, Brotherhood,” is the national motto of France which has origins in the French Revolution.
The Eiffel Tower was built to celebrate the centennial of the French Revolution.
This new piece can be seen in person at Brocante Market, Saturday and Sunday, July 5th & 6th.
Replenished my display at Sarasota Architectural Salvage today and I am in good company with my partner Michelle (Altered by Michelle), Kelley B Designs and Kelley Love Designs. Come by and check out the cool art by cool local artists going on at this great shop! 1093 Central Avenue, Sarasota, FL 34236
I’m so excited to have a new venue for my art! Brocante Market is a vintage market in St. Pete that happens the first weekend of each month. These photos are a sneak peek of our space this time around. If you have a love for all things vintage, salvaged and repurposed, this is the place to be!! Check out the Brocante Market website or Facebook page for more details and directions!
I’m happy to say that my partner, Michelle, and I just installed new art displays at Sarasota Architectural Salvage!
Thank you, Jesse and crew, for always being so good to us!!
