“Bella Vita”

“Bella Vita” or “Beautiful Life” – this piece was created by enlarging a vintage glass slide. The original slide measures about 4″ x 3″ and the image is Venice, Italy. The background is vintage sheet music. The frame is an old wooden ice box door from a local fish market that closed. It was painted white but the natural wood is so beautiful I had to sand the paint off… The finished piece measures almost 3 feet square.

    1. Thank you, Becca!! You would remember the place the wood ice box door came from… I actually got it at a yard sale but the man who sold it to me said it had come from the old Walt’s Fish Market in downtown Sarasota…
